Time for change
Three years ago you would have never found me in a gym. I was about 155 pounds soaking wet and built like a tooth pick. Although my friends would make jokes about how skinny I was, I never really thought I was until I looked at some old photos of myself. Looking back, I now know how terrible my eating and exercising habits truly were.
Two years ago, my nephew Sawyer was born and he completely changed how I viewed my own life. Before Sawyer, I did not care about growing old and thought I would live until about 65. After he was born I began to realize that not only do I want to be a part of my children’s lives (when that day comes), but I also want to be around for my grandchildren’s lives. With my eating and exercising habits at the time, I knew this wasn’t possible.
I knew it was time for change. I began to take my health more seriously and embarked on my journey of not only helping myself, but also helping others. Today I weigh a much healthier 175, lift 4/5 times a week and maintain a much better diet! I have more energy, strength and confidence than I ever have. I will always strive to improve my health and help others do the same.
